    I agree that the behaviour you describe isn't good.  However, as
    we simply use the standard plone commenting infrastructure, it
    sounds like a plone issue not a quills issue.  The "log in to add
    comment" link should probably have a "came_from" form
    variable/query string so that the login machinery knows to
    redirect the user back again.    I would add an issue to the plone
    tracker for this.
