[quills-dev] Can not display Quills sitemplate_view together with portlets, help needed...

Hi,

I have a Quills instance that i wanted to setup so that all users could
write blog-entrys here.
However due to delete permission issues (when publishing) i have abandoned
this idea.
(And i lack the abilities to write my own weblog product..)

I now want to setup individual weblogs and use the supplied siteplanet-view
template to aggregrate the entries.
I managed to setup a navigation tab that links to the template (just the
template, not the weblog instance).
Although this renders ok it doesn't show any of the portlets, not even
default Plone templates when specified.
Using left/right slots properties on the template object doesn't work
either.
Instead Plone shows the portlets for the homepage as well as all the action
tabs for the homepage.
So somehow it thinks this is the homepage ?

How can i make it such that this template shows portlets? Quills supplies
tagcloudS portlet among others that i want to use.

I then thought as a last measure to use the already created weblog and make
this weblog render itself with the siteplanet_view template.
Because i can then use the Quills portlets for the tag-clouds.
The template itself works because when i call the weblog with the
siteplanet_view appended to the url it renders ok (and displays the portlets
specified at the instances left/right slots)
However i can not tell the Weblog instance to use the siteplanet_view
template as a default view.
Using the portal_types/aliases to specify another template to use as its
default template works but is not desired: it causes EVERY weblog to show
all entries. And ofcourse only the weblog on the homepage should show the
aggregrated version, the individual ones should show the entries in
thatinstance.

Limi suggested to use the default_page property on the homepage quills
weblog instance to have the instance show with a different template.
However as someone else pointed out the product has to support this for it
to work.
I asked for this in this newsgroup but noone answered as yet.

Can someone comment on how easy it is to include this in the product ?
Since the weblog appears automatically in the navtabs i can not easily
change the url to include the siteplanet_view bit.

Hopefully somebody finds the time and kindness to answer this question....
