I have spent some free hours this week to try to get some alternative traversal working. I branched from trunk to branches/maurits-traversal. I added a BRANCH.txt file to explain the goal, status, etc of the branch. See: http://tinyurl.com/y55enw It is basically broken now, so don't you dare use this on a production site. :) There is some indication that the new traversal is halfway working, so there may be some hope for that branch. I myself don't feel up to the task of finishing this.
