This is something we'd like to support via an adapter in Quills 2.0,
it's what we have been calling "any-content-as-weblog-entry".

I talked to someone, maybe rocky, a while back about a simple solution
for implementing a rich description field. Basically, you want to
hide the widget for the dc:Description field and run a transform when
the rich description is modified to serialize an unformatted, text
description.

It would be great to see this functionality available as a generalized
content adapter or something.

We are also looking to Haystack1 for auto-summarization as an option
in 1.6-land.

Probably, both of these functionalities should not be part of Quills,
but should work well with Quills.

I did play with some of this preliminary code in Plone 3.0 the other
day, it was pretty nifty.

Where would auto-discoverable feeds come from? FOAF? OpenID?
Trackback? et. al.? This is a really neat idea, I think, for 1.6 or
2.0-land.
