**Response Details**::

    Reinout and I discussed this remaining mimetype problem, and it
    non-obvious how to resolve it with the way the base/fatsyndication
    interfaces and code are defined.  It requires more thought, and
    some time to refactor things, so this won't be fixed for 1.5.
