actually, your operating system doesn't figure into this problem at  
all ;-)

so it's no discrimination of windows users, just of people who  
haven't got subversion installed...

but no longer! i've uploaded a tarball of the buildout, so all you  
need is to download this,  expand the tarball provided above, change  
into the new directory, bootstrap it and fire up the instance, like so:

http://plone.org/products/quills/releases/1.6/quills-1-6-beta1.tgz

tar xzf quills-1.6-beta1.tgz ; cd quills-1.6-beta1 ; python  
bootstrap.py ; ./bin/buildout ; ./bin/instance fg

let me know, if that works for you.
