If they're pretty good: no problem. You must keep in mind that people 
will get a 1.1 beta egg over their 1.0 stable egg if they just depend on 
your product without some "<= 1.0" in the requirement.

The basic etiquette is: put releases on pypi. So alpha and beta eggs are 
fine. What's wrong is to put all those 1.0-r1234 eggs with an svn 
version number on pypi.
