Well, to be honest I didn't have time to work on quills/coreblog lately :(

I tried to check what's causing the problem ... but my python/zope/plone 
know-how (as far as development is concerned) is quite limited.

OK, that's one think I actually do know ... :) since coreblog ususally 
creates links like /myblog/my_article instead of 
/myblog/archive/2008/02/15/my_article you need to have the rewrites in 
order to access "old" postings from both URLs. Especially if you think 
about google, you might want to have the old posting-URLs still valid, 
while new postings will have a different URL.
