The COREBlog2 that this original script was written for is more different from COREBlog2 of today than COREBlog2 of today from Quills. I tried to follow what appeared to be the public apis but found that all comments of the COREBlog are stored in a subfolder called "comments". I'm sure that these items have some attribute you can read and match them up with a blog entry, but Frank did not want to wait for that to be sorted out.
